More 3D character development.

Today i have created the hook hand for my character using a spline and the Sweep NURBS tool in cinema 4D, here is the basic hook shape.

I Then added the Hook shape onto half of a sphere for the base of the hook.

I have now applied the hook hand to my character.

Screen shots of 3D character attempts

This was my first attempt at my 3D character, i wasn't happy with this as i couldn't get the correct shape of my character as my character is sausage shaped so i scrapped this design and started again.

Here is my second attempt at my 3D character, i had managed to get the basic sausage shape for the body of my character but i still wasn't completely happy with the shape.

Here is my 3rd attempt of creating my 3D character, and with some assistance from my tutor i managed to get a shape i was satisfied with for my character.

3D character

Last week i  began to create my 3D character in Cinema 4D, i have been struggling a bit with this as its been a while since i have done any 3D animation.
So far i only have the basic shape of my character.
I intend to get most of it, if not all of my 3D character completed this week, if i get the 3D character completed, i am then going to get either my sound started or my scenes set up in cinema 4D.

Reason for resitting the course.

The reason i am resitting the course is because i failed two modules last year, but as i had already resubmitted the maximum amount of work during the course of the year i couldn't resubmit the modules i failed.
i Think i will benefit from resitting the year as i know what to expect from the course and i know how to use the required programs etc. and it will also help me to improve my skills.

First year resit

From this post onwards will be work from my first year resit.

Apology for the lateness of posts.

the reason that i am posting things onto my blog after the submission date is because the site was down on the initial hand in date.

Application of number

When it came to the point of starting the walk cycle for my character, i had to place the key frames at roughly 10 frames apart so that the timing of each step would run smoothly, if i was to put the frames too close together then my walk would be too fast and if i put the frames too far apart the walk would be too slow.
Once i had my walk cycle i wasnt too happy with the speed of the walk so i went into the timeline and moved the key frames a bit further apart from eachother.
